Beastmaster of the Ages
Ch-3889: Fengs Methods
The Brightmoon stopped before the inky black astral region ahead. Tianming immediately began a survey of the region using his usual method: releasing Yin Chens. Not only that, he added Bai Ye to the mix as well. One would focus on spreading wide and eavesdropping, while the other would enter the souls of others to hear the secrets they didn't dare to even speak.𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮
No other lifebound beasts could help grasp control of worlds on such a scale. The Yin Chens turned into all kinds of insect forms, which would in turn help Bai Ye spread its soul seeds that had much more limited mobility.
Soon, they reached the cloaking formation of the nova source world ahead.
"Is that Saturatia-49?" Tianming asked Bai Ye.
"Obviously not. Its cloaking formation is rather average in size," Bai Ye nonchalantly said.
"Alright, I'll leave it to you two." Tianming could be certain that Saturatia-49 was nearby. Given the amount of activity near a maniverse-class world, it might not be the best idea to use a stolen divine astralship and risk being spotted. Thus, Tianming found a nearby asteroid to hide the ship on and activated its cloaking formation. Then all of them left the Brightmoon. "Even if they find the ship, we'll long be gone."
He hadn't planned to use the Brightmoon for their entire trip; after all, it was one of the control cores of the Starmoon Fusion Formation. It was a bright, flashing beacon just waiting to be discovered by the Eightpart Pantheons. As for returning to the Sun, all they needed was to steal another ship to fulfil that purpose.
Qingyu and Moran had no issue with that. The only problem was the two cosmic god essences of Tong Zhi. Regardless of how their shapes changed, Tianming wrapped them up in tons of bindings and carried them with him. Considering that they were each only twenty meters wide, the sixty-meter-tall Tianming had no issue lugging them around.
I heard that imperial-class spatial rings can store cosmic god corpses. I should get myself one if I have a chance. Comparatively, the ring in Tianming's possession that kept Huang Qi imprisoned within was even more impressive, considering that Huang Qi was still alive. Living cosmic gods were undoubtedly stronger than dead ones.
If I have a spatial ring like that, I can bring Little Fish with me everywhere I go! It'd be like having my personal portable cannon! He let his imagination run wild for a moment.
By the time they dealt with the Brightmoon, Yin Chen and Bai Ye had already infiltrated the orbiter world. During peacetime, astralguard formations generally weren't deployed, making their task rather easy. A large number of Yin Chens attached themselves to speeding divine astralships and hitched rides to spread across the many cities in the world. Working with Bai Ye, they quickly obtained the information that Tianming was looking for.
"So what's the deal with this orbiter?" Tianming asked.
All maniverse-class worlds in the Upper Star Ruin have orbiter worlds. Unlike star rings, orbiters circle the maniverse-class worlds and are also known as satellites. Saturatia-49 is known for having forty-nine orbiter worlds, hence the name, read the text that Yin Chen had arranged its bodies into. There was simply too much information.
"What class is this orbiter world? Don't tell me it's fortuna class." Fortuna-class worlds were usually a tenth of the size of maniverse-class worlds, so how could Saturatia-49 have forty-nine of them around it? They couldn't be infinitum-class worlds, either, since the Upper Star Ruin didn't have anything like that.
They aren’t fortuna class, but their own class, about the size of ether-class or sanctuary-class worlds. However, they contain cosmic impulses that equal those of fortuna-class worlds. In other words, they’re energy-dense and can be considered smaller fortuna-class worlds, Yin Chen wrote. That was considered to be common-sense information that would definitely raise eyebrows if Tianming directly asked around about it.
"Huh, things like that exist, too. If maniverse-class worlds only have cosmic gods, what about orbiter worlds?"
Orbiter worlds house the descendants of cosmic gods that have yet to mature, as well as some clans that aren’t part of the Eightpart Pantheons. There’s also quite a number of flameyellow descendants. The makeup of the population is a bit more complicated than normal fortuna-class worlds, being somewhat between fortuna and maniverse-class worlds. Imperial-class worlds, on the other hand, won't have orbiters like that.
"Why not?"
Imperial-class worlds have populations that are too small, the smallest out of all nine classes of worlds. They’re also the most elite. The descendants of those super cosmic gods don't take long to become cosmic gods themselves.
"Damn...." Though Tianming was shocked, the information somewhat mirrored his experience when he had first learned that everyone on Ebonia was an ascendant.
It made sense since it was rare for higher lifeforms to have lower offspring. Once monkeys evolved into humans, humans wouldn't give birth to monkeys anymore, either. Though that was a hyperbolic example, it was in line with how lifeforms in this universe evolved and changed. Lumping cosmic, astral, and normal gods with mortals in the same category of life was a forced effort at best, and an errant one at worst. At best, one could consider them different lifeforms that stemmed from the same bloodline long ago.
Even with the universe being endless, there’s only one Upper Star Ruin, with everything else being Lower Star Ruins. Imperial-class worlds are rare, even in the Upper Star Ruin, with denizens that’re the elite among elites. It's no surprise that they directly birth cosmic gods.
That was the peak of the Realm of Order. While imperial-class worlds didn't need orbiter worlds, maniverse-class worlds needed many of them.
The imperial bloodlines of the Eightpart Pantheons on imperial-class worlds are still far out of my reach.... Tianming's thoughts returned to reality. "Yin Chen, have you heard anything about Feng on this orbiter world?"
"I have," Yin Chen said, audibly this time.
"Then tell me!"
"Don't rush!" Yin Chen spat with some annoyance as it arranged itself into text once more. He’s been causing a lot of trouble at Saturatia-49. He isn’t that powerful, but his tricks give wonderians many headaches.
"Oh? What tricks?"
The fabric of space in the Upper Star Ruin is incredibly stable, so wonderians aren't able to use their innate capabilities to slip in between the cracks to enter the Xenoworld. Instead, they rely on formations to do so. However, Lingfeng can enter the Xenoworld as he pleases, making him basically unkillable. Even divine wonders have trouble suppressing him. That’s how he constantly evades wonderian capture.
