In the Transcendent Origin Folds.
Within a localized dominion of layered beginnings, countless floating continents the size of omniverses drifted through a haze of white-gold wind.
Each mass hovered on the back of silent, radiant wheels of existence- monuments of Beginning left from utter wonders!
Amid this grandeur, a Living Origin watched.
She floated in repose above a still lake of Origin Authority, its waters placid and clear as glass. Her figure was feline yet celestial as she observed a tower with rapt attention!
"I Herald His Coming..."
"I Herald His Ruin."
She narrowed her eyes.
Such words came and came again, slow and deliberate.
"I Herald His Coming..."
"I Herald His Ruin!"
She tilted her head. "Yes, yes, I’ve heard it twice now. Let’s not make it a third."
HUUM!
With a twitch of her tail, her wings flared- the folded mountains of white-gold unfurling as an enormous rune circle pulsed into being.
It was massive, carved from existence itself and burning with threads of Origin that hummed like thunder beneath thought.
"I’ll accelerate your beginning," she said with dry amusement as her feline features smiled. "Let’s see you born properly, then."
HUUM!
The circle surged forward.
It wrapped the crimson tower in bands of white flame, pushing time, causality, and order forward in a spiral of blossoming acceleration.
In mere seconds, the tower- meant to take some time to construct- formed completely.
The winds howled.
The skies rippled with origin.
A tempest of Authority surged all around as if the Folds themselves were being pulled from- Living Origin Authority being swallowed up en masse!
The Living Origin blinked once more.
"...Curious," she murmured. "That’s not the concentration of Authority a common Young Origin should need..."
...!
But she had no time to wonder further.
Before her, the spirals of crimson-gold lemniscates reached a singular, sharp peak.
A burst of incandescent Living Origin Authority erupted out.
And then...
The tower vanished.
BOOM!
In its place stood a woman.
She was resplendent. Glorious. Quintessential!
Crimson-gold hair flowing like a halo of fire, cascading down robes etched with endless infinity symbols that shone with magisterial glory.
Her wings, three pairs of them, rose behind her in white and crimson grandeur. And above her head, three white gold halos spun, releasing waterfalls of Living Origin Authority that stained the air gold.
She opened her eyes.
And for a moment... said nothing.
No cry. No scream. No hymn.
Only silence.
She raised her hands with quiet reverence as the first action she sought to do...was trying to return.
To leave.
To go home.
To him.
But her authority... fizzled.
Like a candle flame beneath the tides.
Her brows furrowed, stern and heavy.
From nearby, the Living Origin’s voice reached her, lilting and amused.
"My, my. A freshly born Origin already trying to run away. Whatever for?"
...!
The young woman said nothing as she looked over.
"Newborns always forget their anchoring," The Living Origin said, appearing before her in a flash of radiant feline light. Her vast wings folded neatly. "You need time to acclimate. These are the Transcendent Origin Folds, darling. Even we must obey their rhythm as your beginning has to take some time to settle down here."
She came forward as she didn’t wait for a reply or anything else.
With a casual flick of her wrist, Living Origin Authority enveloped them both in a brilliant sphere, and in the next heartbeat, they vanished.
---
Far away within the Transcendent Origin Folds
So far that distance meant little.
Tens of thousands of omniverses away, atop a colossal white pillar rising amidst a grand citadel carved from Living Origin Weavings, the two beings reappeared.
Towers like spears of dawn rose into the skyspace.
White and gold light spilled across the area where only the highest echelons of Living Origins dwelled!
The Living Origin extended a paw, tail twitching behind her. Her voice was melodic.
"Welcome to the Genesisfolds of the Transcendent Origin Folds, Young Origin. What is your name, by the way? You may refer to me as Lady Bastet."
The crimson-gold young woman stood tall.
Her eyes scanned the city of light.
The air here was thick with origin. So many beings. So complex!
She could feel them moving. Thousands. Tens of thousands.
As she looked at all this wonder, she answered in a calm voice filled with fire.
"Ruination."
WAA!
"I am Ruination."
...!
Lady Bastet blinked.
"Ruination, hmm?" she echoed, slowly shaking her head. "What a name to be born with. A shitty one in the eyes of Origin, but hey, who am I to judge?"
Her halos spun faster. Her tail danced.
"Welcome to Maes, Little Ruination, the Transcendent Dwelling of the Genesis Living Origins."
...!
Maes, the Transcendent Dwelling of the Genesis Living Origins!
Lady Bastet spoke its name like an ancient song, each syllable a bell chime.
And the moment the name passed her lips, the grandeur of this exalted domain unfurled before Ruination’s wide eyes.
The atmosphere here was thick with Living Origin Authority and brilliance. It shimmered in hues of nascent white and flushed gold, carrying with it the scent of first behinnings.
The sky arced impossibly high above, if it could be called a sky, gilded with interlacing rings of luminous gold light.
Before them lay Maes. A place where Living Origins were clustered in abundance!
White-gold towers soared in elegant defiance of gravity, their forms graceful yet unknowable- each one spiraling up in layered curves like woven braids of origin.
Between these towers floated hundreds, if not thousands, of Miniaturized Transcendent Wheels of Existence. They orbited slowly, like moons around sacred tall planets, some spinning gently atop pillars or bridges, others set as foundations upon which entire pillars were built on.
Each Wheel thrummed.
Wide bridges of solidified Origin Authority spanned the vast domain, flowing with rivers of white-gold mist.
Beneath glowing arches, Living Origins moved with deliberate grace. Their forms were diverse- some walked on two legs with wings coiled behind them, others slithered like serpents of light, while a few had no limbs at all, their shapes composed entirely of runes and bloom.
The majority, however, were massive beings of humanoid majesty.
Foldless Ones with wings wider than the towers, halos that revolved with their own gravitational pull, and gazes that saw across time. They moved without urgency, speaking to one another through cascading flows of Existential Authority.
"There are no common beings here," Bastet purred softly. "Everyone you see is at least a weak Originus Venerant or higher, and many have long surpassed that threshold."
