He quietly took over all her public relations, providing her with a natural barrier to shield her from all the rumors and gossip outside.
If it weren’t for his mom suddenly coming to the set and giving her a slap, maybe she would have continued to have such a relationship with him for a long time.
At least she wouldn’t have resisted the idea of a breakup.
Olivia Lewis lowered her head, just about to take a sip of hot water when she suddenly noticed the ring on her left ring finger that the man had forcibly placed there. She froze in silence for a while before lowering her head again and taking a sip from the cup.
The warm red date water soothed her parched throat finally.
She got up and placed the cup on the bedside table, reaching out, her gaze complex, to touch the rare stubble on the man’s chin.
She thought something like stubble would never appear on this man’s face.
She never expected that one day she would actually see it.
Because Adam Sinclair’s chin stubble had just started to appear, with only a short section, when her fingers touched it, it felt prickly and somewhat abrasive.
She touched it briefly before withdrawing her hand.
She stood quietly by the bedside for a while, then sat back down in the chair...

When Adam Sinclair woke up, the moon outside had already risen.
After the anesthetic wore off, his first feeling was the sharp pain from the stitches on his injured left leg, besides that, his head felt slightly heavy.
He first moved his fingers slightly before he could barely open his eyes.
The first thing he saw was the hospital ceiling.
After the initial intense dizziness passed, he instinctively turned his head to look at the bedside.
He saw a person quietly leaning beside his bed. Probably too tired, the woman sitting by his bed had fallen asleep lying on his bed, quietly resting.
Her hair was messy, with strands covering her face, her makeup-free face looked haggard, and even in sleep, her brows were tightly furrowed as if she was troubled.
So ugly...
Adam Sinclair stared intently at the face of the woman who had fallen asleep by his bedside. Clearly, this woman without her usual delicate makeup, wasn’t wearing beautiful clothes, and her hair was a mess; she looked completely different from what he saw on TV. But for some reason, his heart seemed to be struck by something invisible, beating so vigorously that he could hear the echo.
He quickly noticed Olivia Lewis was asleep without anything covered over her, frowned slightly, and tried to move, intending to pull the blanket over himself to cover the person lying at the edge of the bed.
As soon as he moved, the sleeping person suddenly reacted as if electrocuted, instantly raising her head. Though her eyes were still dazed with sleep, her hand instinctively reached out, feeling towards his direction.
This action was entirely subconscious, something one would only do when extremely concerned about someone.
"You’re awake?" Olivia Lewis saw him, and the drowsiness in her eyes instantly disappeared. She immediately became alert and stood up at once, saying, "I’ll go call the doctor!"
"Olivia!" Adam Sinclair didn’t even know why he did it. By the time he realized what he had done, his hand had already accurately grasped the wrist of the woman who was about to leave.
Suddenly grabbed, Olivia Lewis turned her head, frowning slightly, awkwardly explaining, "You just woke up. I’ll go help you call the doctor to come and check you out."
