Wang Ying, unwilling to get involved in the mess and wary of them arguing in the office, stepped in between the two, gesturing to diffuse the tension, “What are you two talking about? None of us understand. We finally got a chance to meet—let’s chat about something we can all join in on. This topic is pointless and damages relationships.”

Ai Wen, as Lemon’s boss, also stood up, grinning craftily, and chimed in, “Exactly, I’m completely lost in the conversation. Oh, by the way, Miss Chu, what brings you to Lemon this time?”

She shifted her tone and responded, “I’m an old friend of your Director Tan and came over to catch up with her.” Then her gaze landed on Rong Yan again, with a loaded remark, “I didn’t expect to see Mr. Rong here.”
