Stop Hypnotizing Me, Antagonist Princess!
Ch-621: Brother Xiya, Nothing Happened at All_2
The blood arrow sent the Daynight Furnace tumbling backward, and the Sovereign Lord spat out another mouthful of blood.
When black qi appeared within his blood, his expression completely changed.
“That curse energy pierced through my divine protection?! What kind of monster is this?!” shouted that Sovereign Lord.
All the Brahma line’s experts possessed sacred faith energy—divine protection that rendered most curses completely ineffective. The stronger their cultivation, the more potent the protection.
But this wasn’t an ordinary curse—nor was this an ordinary beast.
The Cursed Spirit Blood Crow was a primal chaos species, a terrifying existence whose curse energy could pierce through divine weapons and attack the soul directly.
Had the elder not been protected by faith energy, he would’ve already been dead. Coughing up blood was nothing in comparison.
Realizing the gravity of the situation, this elder forcefully circulated his faith energy, expelling some of the curse energy from his body. He then crushed a jade talisman in his hand.
The elder snapped, “Damn bird... if you want to die that badly, I’ll make sure you die painfully!”
This elder had wanted to capture Long Chen and the original devil race alone to claim all the credit. However, the Cursed Spirit Blood Crow had ruined those plans—its claw strike had left a marker on him. It had gone fully berserk and locked onto him as prey.
If he didn’t call for backup now, forget earning rewards—he would probably not survive.
The Cursed Spirit Blood Crow let out a strange cry. A soundwave burst forth, so sharp it felt like it could split the heavens.
Watching from afar, Long Chen suddenly felt the world spinning. Black spots emerged in his spiritual sea.
“What...?”
The curse energy was terrifying. Even from this distance, it had affected him.
But just as the darkness tried to settle into his sea of consciousness, the Divine Gate flared. The black specks vanished, melting like frost under the blazing sun.
“AH!”
The cursed elder, however, wasn't so lucky. He screamed in agony. The curse energy had invaded his soul, and black qi started to leak from his body.
Then, the Cursed Spirit Blood Crow’s talon slammed down.
Despite being cursed, the elder managed to control the Daynight Furnace to intercept the attack, but both he and the furnace were sent flying again.
“Lord Brahma, protect your lowly servant! Brama Divine Energy Protection!”
The elder bellowed, spitting another mouthful of ink-black blood that reeked of rot. When it hit the ground, the earth sizzled and smoked.
“With the protection of Brahma power, a stupid bird like you can’t harm me!” roared the elder.
In response, its wing swung toward him and sent him flying again.
As their fighting moved further and further away, Long Chen was tempted to steal the eggs. But then, he shook his head. They were still too close. If the Cursed Spirit Blood Crow suddenly looked back, Long Chen would be a sitting duck. He had to wait longer.
“Elder Mingfeng, why are you fighting this bird? Where are the original devil race’s experts?” asked a newly arrived Sovereign Lord from the Pill Valley.
Hearing that person’s tone, Long Chen smiled contemptuously.
This newcomer wasn’t here to help—he just wanted the glory of capturing the original devil race. Typical.
Elder Mingfeng wasn’t stupid either, and he immediately responded, “I tracked their trail, but this damn bird is blocking the way! Help me kill it first—we can pursue them afterward!”
The other elder hesitated. Without more details, he debated whether to just leave and search on his own.
But before he could decide, the Cursed Spirit Blood Crow let out another piercing shriek. This time, a blood-colored rune emerged from its beak and exploded into countless fragments, spreading out in an invisible wave.
As the wave spread, it devoured every negative energy in the environment like a sponge.
“The wonders of this world never cease... This attack is beyond anything I’ve ever seen,” Long Chen muttered in awe.
Long Chen had always considered himself somewhat experienced, but it was his first time seeing such an attack. He couldn’t decipher its principles.
“AHH!”
The new elder screamed as the curse struck him full-force. Elder Mingfeng had made no attempt to warn him, instead pulling back at the critical moment. With the newcomer now cursed and vulnerable, the Cursed Spirit Blood Crow pounced.
Elder Mingfeng pretentiously shouted, “Watch out!”
BOOM!
A divine diagram appeared at this critical moment, blocking the Cursed Spirit Blood Crow and saving that elder.
The one who intervened was a sixth Heavenstage Sovereign Lord, the strongest in their group. Upon seeing the monstrous bird and sensing its aura, his expression turned grim.
“The legendary Cursed Spirit Blood Crow...”
He hesitated. Then, after observing carefully, he shouted, “Wait! Something’s off. Its aura’s unstable! We can kill it together!”
Without delay, he charged. Other mid-stage Sovereign Lords also joined in, surrounding the Cursed Spirit Blood Crow at once.
“Go all-out from the beginning! Otherwise, once it uses its innate curse, there’s no blocking it! Unleash all your divine energy! We must kill it as quickly as possible,” shouted the sixth Heavenstage Sovereign Lord.
Divine energy flared across the sky as the Brahma Divine Diagram hung above his head. His sword slashed down like a heavenly blade.
BOOM!
Blood-colored feathers scattered through the air. The Cursed Spirit Blood Crow staggered.
“Kill!”
The others unleashed their deadliest techniques in unison, hammering the creature without rest. They gave it no room to breathe, let alone use its innate curse.
“Hehe, this is right. Work hard everyone,” muttered Long Chen.
Long Chen smiled wretchedly and snuck into that gorge. He quickly saw its nest. However, he didn’t touch the eggs just yet.
At the side of a cliff wall was a dark cave, black qi billowing from its depths like a yawning devil maw.
“That explains it. There had to be something special here. Otherwise, why would a creature like the Cursed Spirit Blood Crow nest here?”
Long Chen scanned the surroundings and didn’t notice anything else odd, so he carefully entered the cave.
As soon as he stepped in, the black qi surged toward him. A wave of nausea hit, and even his blood qi stagnated.
Then, in a small pit, he saw it.
A black orchid bloomed quietly, and black qi pulsed from it like breath.
“Damn, that’s... a Nether Blood Evil Orchid.”
Shock and delight flashed across Long Chen’s face.
