Ch-4688: Distinguish Bones
Chapter 4687: Distinguish Bones
Ye Jian remembered all the portraits of the missing girls. She also remembered what color and style of clothes they wore before they left.
Now, she was quickly searching through her brain, trying to find a match for the color and style of the dress. In less than a minute, a girl’s portrait entered her mind clearly as if she had copied it.
Ye Jian closed her eyes gently. The missing girl had a similar knee-length dress.
Could it be that this skeleton was her?
She needed to confirm it again. She couldn’t confirm it just because of a similar dress. She needed to confirm it again!
Ye Jian’s heart trembled slightly as she walked closer slowly. She walked toward the skeleton’s leg directly. The girl’s left foot only had four toes because she was injured when she was young. This was the biggest hint to identify the skeleton.
Ye Jian, who was approaching, slowly squatted down and gently moved the withered grass away from the leg. She saw a pile of scattered white bones. Some were small and some were big. The bones were all messy. It was impossible to recognize them. She needed to carefully identify them.
In order to find evidence to prove the skeleton’s identity, Ye Jian needed to observe at a close distance. However, she needed to avoid the people outside from finding out that she had been investigating something. Besides moving away the withered grass, Ye Jian didn’t even touch the scattered bones.
Time passed slowly. Ye Jian, who had a good understanding of the human body’s structure and bones, started to assemble the scattered bones in her mind.
Starting from the heel, she assembled the bones piece by piece in her mind.
Finally, a complete left foot appeared in her mind.
At that moment, there were thick dark clouds in Ye Jian’s clear black eyes. Even the wind couldn’t blow them away.
One of the missing girls had been found. She was already a skeleton.
After wiping away any traces that she might’ve left behind, Ye Jian slowly retreated and walked back to the wooden door. From time to time, she would raise her hand and knock. She shouted weakly, “Let me out. I want to go home.”
The two people guarding outside ignored her. They didn’t shout at Ye Jian to shut up either. They stood guard like wooden stakes.
After half an hour or so, Ye Jian leaned against the wooden door and closed her eyes. She had been running around for the past few days.
Where would she go next?
Everything was unknown. She only knew that she would face more danger and difficulties.
Ye Jian, who had been sleeping soundly for two hours, heard footsteps outside. She opened her eyes and started knocking on the wooden door. She kept repeating, “I want to go home.”
The iron lock was opened, and the sound of the iron chain moving could be heard. Ye Jian got up and knocked on the wooden door harder. She was panicking and anxious.
Mozhi kicked the wooden door open with one leg. The wooden door that slammed open hit Ye Jian’s head heavily. As she screamed in pain, Mozhi used his leg to block the wooden door that was slamming back. He turned the scimitar in his hand. Standing at the door, he looked at the Chinese girl whose head was red from the collision and said lazily with a fake smile, “Let’s go. I’ll send you home.”
Who would believe him?
Ye Jian naturally wouldn’t believe him. She knew that he was lying to her.
She didn’t say anything. She hugged her bag tightly, and her eyes were filled with tears. The fear on her face pleased Mozhi. “If you know that I won’t let you go home, why are you still shouting? Eat the pancake.”
