Stop Hypnotizing Me, Antagonist Princess!

Ch-434: Chapter 40 Praying to Ivyst Ten Thousand Years Later?
Saul ran all the way, rushing outside the wizard tower.
When he finally reached the main gate, he didn’t see Senior Byron anywhere.
After looking around, Saul finally spotted Marsh and a person completely covered in a black cloak in the mushroom field to the left of the wizard tower.
He walked over, and before he could call out, the other person had already noticed him and turned around.
Under the hood was still that familiar face, wearing a shallow, not particularly warm smile, looking at Saul.
“I thought you would name the wizard tower ‘Saul Wizard Tower.'”
Saul also smiled. He walked over and punched Byron in the chest. “Senior, you didn’t ask your way here all along the route, did you?”
Byron still didn’t like to talk much, only shaking his head.
Saul knew that if he didn’t continue asking, Byron would probably consider shaking his head a complete answer.
The two walked through the wizard tower, and the environment here made Byron feel both familiar and strange.
“Not bad.”
When they reached the third floor, Byron gave a brief evaluation.
“Has Keli recovered?” Saul invited Byron to tour his laboratory while not forgetting to care about his friend’s condition.
“Keli has completely recovered and even advanced to third-level apprentice. She’s now preparing to advance to true wizard.”
Byron paused for a moment. “However, she’s not suitable for coming to the Borderland. It happens that quite a few changes have occurred within the Kema Duchy, so she went there to assist.”
Keli came from a noble family in the Kema Duchy, so she could indeed participate in the duchy’s internal affairs.
Byron’s right index finger and thumb suddenly inserted into his left palm. His left palm split open without bleeding.
When he withdrew his right hand, there was a transparent small sphere on his fingertip, with an irregular piece of metal sealed inside the sphere.
“Alpha?” Saul immediately recognized this as the radiation poison Keli had invented.
“Keli said it’s an enhanced version.” Byron placed the small sphere in Saul’s hand. “She said her current strength differs too much from yours. Coming here probably wouldn’t help you much. Only this enhanced Alpha poison might help you ambush a few people.”
Saul accepted the Alpha with lingering fear. “Is there an antidote?”
Byron immediately answered: “No.”
Saul grimaced. “Well, looks like she left this problem for me to solve.”
Originally, Keli had invited Saul to jointly develop an antidote, but unfortunately, they were interrupted by Wizard Goldo at the very beginning. Later, due to the wizard tower rebellion, Keli changed direction and abandoned her original research.
However, Keli’s idea of separating soul and consciousness was quite suitable for Saul to continue researching.
Saul put away the Alpha poison and sighed lightly. “It’s better that she didn’t come.”
He put away his smile and looked at Byron. “Actually, Senior… I don’t know whether I should let you stay in the Borderland. The Borderland might be brewing a huge crisis internally. If you stay here, you might even be in danger of pollution at any time.”
After hearing Saul’s words, Byron’s expression didn’t change much. He just asked calmly: “Saul, if I stay here, can I help you?”
Saul was speechless, then laughed. “Then I’ll continue to rely on Senior from now on.”
So Byron settled on the first floor of the wizard tower, perfectly filling the gap left by the old witch’s departure.
Saul told Byron about his experiences in the Borderland, even telling him about his several encounters with Kismet.
As expected, Byron just listened to these matters without any gossipy reaction.
Afterward, Saul solemnly told him that if he discovered any abnormal pollution in his body, he must tell him immediately for cleansing.
As long as they ensured their bodies had no pollution unique to the Borderland, even if the Black Tide erupted here in the future, Byron and Saul, without pollution in their bodies, would be minimally affected.
However, after hearing Saul’s research on Black Tide pollution, Byron became interested in the black powder Saul had brought back from the Chaos Realm.
Since Saul had many things to keep busy with, he gave Byron some samples to research as he pleased.
Pei’er suddenly opened her eyes.
When she woke from her dream and made the motion of opening her eyes, she felt as if she wasn’t opening her eyes but tearing off adhesive tape that was tightly stuck to her skin.
The tearing sensation, still carrying traces of sticky pain, made her brain ache faintly as well.
“When did Clark’s strength become so terrifying? Or did the Stargate Council behind him secretly intervene?”
Pei’er didn’t immediately get up from the stone platform. She was trying hard to think, to make her brain active again.
“I didn’t see the prophetic dream of falling toward the starry sky that Nerela saw. Is it because the one falling toward the starry sky was Nerela herself and not me, or because the future has already been changed?”
In any case, Pei’er could not accept that her ending would be dying alone and insane among the stars.
“The Old Witch’s main consciousness also had no nightmares… Could it be that the mutated person really isn’t me? But it always feels like it’s not that simple. Hmm, when I was the Old Witch, my mind was indeed dull…”
Several scenes suddenly surged in Pei’er’s mind.
They were scenes of her being repeatedly tricked by Saul, yet being helpless against him.
They were scenes of her being repeatedly provoked by Saul, yet proudly showing off her strength.
They were scenes of her being secretly pleased to work for Saul for a mere few hundred magic crystals…
“Ahhhh!!!”
Pei’er clenched her fists, even curling her toes.
Thinking back now was so embarrassing! She wanted to delete these memories immediately!
After twisting and writhing on the stone platform for a few minutes, Pei’er quickly calmed down.
“Relax. In the path of wizardry, a few failed experimental experiences are nothing at all.”
But just after she had relaxed, she remembered the scene where Saul had laughed when she deliberately tried to charm him.
“That damned brat, sooner or later I’ll make him know the power of a third-rank wizard.”
With this thought, she seemed to have made up her mind. She flipped over and jumped off the stone platform, then her entire figure became blurred, like a gentle breeze in a canyon, floating out of the cave.
Pei’er didn’t go to another cave in the secret chamber, but directly walked out of the hidden passage and continued down through the original cave.
Although her strength hadn’t recovered yet and her soul was entangled by Clark’s nightmare power, she was still a third-rank wizard. Along the way, no one could discover her whereabouts.
So she easily arrived at a cave at the bottom of the Cliff.
There was an underground river here, with half the cave submerged in water.
So this was actually an abandoned cave. Even if someone wanted to draw water, they would choose another river closer to the residential area.
At this moment, Pei’er came to the underground river and manifested her form again.
She slowly crouched down and placed her right hand on the water surface.
A series of low, hoarse, and obscure fairy language flowed from her mouth.
But the sound strangely drilled into the river water, and even Pei’er herself didn’t hear it.
Immediately, the originally calm underground river suddenly rippled with waves.
Strangely, even Pei’er’s right hand on the water surface began to… undulate like waves, just like the river water.
That intact right hand gradually grew larger as the ripples spread, slowly extending to the size of a round table surface, while its thickness became as thin as gauze.
Then, something under the water seemed to support Pei’er’s enlarged and thinned right hand, slowly standing up from the bottom of the water.
Like a person covered with a bedsheet.
Except the person in the water was covered with Pei’er’s skin.
“You finally deigned to contact me, my stubborn sister.”
Pei’er said with a stern face: “Both the Stargate Council and the Tribunal have violated their agreements and secretly controlled the Borderland. Ophelia, I hope you can still laugh after hearing this news.”
