Stop Hypnotizing Me, Antagonist Princess!
Ch-570: Hello, I’m Here to Kill Someone
Pei’er ultimately decided to trust Byron once for Saul’s sake.
Seeing the trust crisis temporarily resolved, Saul continued: “Our scheme this time can’t be exactly the same as before.”
Pei’er agreed with Saul’s thinking. She swept her long hair behind her head, her gaze ice-cold. “Of course. Previously I wanted to buy time waiting for my own recovery to break free from Clark’s nightmare. But now… the Borderland is about to descend into complete chaos.”
She looked down at her right palm. “I want to kill him!”
If Ophelia was truly willing to go all out to help Pei’er, Saul believed Pei’er could definitely succeed in her revenge.
But Ophelia might not be willing to do so.
Through interrogating Nerela in the diary, Saul had already learned that Firefly Lord Herbert was backed by the Tribunal, while Dreammaker Clark likely also had the shadow of the Stargate Council behind him.
Nerela had only been willing to defect to Clark after learning this.
So if Pei’er wanted to kill Clark in return, she would most likely still have to rely on herself.
Pei’er’s right hand immediately clenched tightly. She thought to herself: “Since you want me to seize the anchor point, killing Clark, a potential future competitor, shouldn’t be a problem, right?”
Her right hand transmitted weak feedback. Pei’er knew this meant Ophelia agreed.
However, the feedback carried slight hesitation, suggesting Ophelia would only help her covertly.
Just like how she hid within her own body, staying out of sight.
“I’ll find a way for this,” Pei’er told Saul.
Seeing Pei’er’s expression, she seemed to have received some kind of promise, so Saul could relax a little.
Then, his expression became slightly grave. “There’s just one troublesome point. Killing also requires an opportunity. Clark has always been using nightmares remotely to try devouring you, but for you to murder him, you must lure him over. Otherwise, we might not be able to affect him in the nightmare.”
Although Saul had already advanced to second-rank, he didn’t think his consciousness space could trap a third-rank wizard.
Especially since Clark was attempting to devour the Wind Sprite, which proved he was definitely a considerably powerful third-rank wizard.
If Pei’er couldn’t counter-kill him in one strike and let him escape, not only would future counterattacks be difficult, but they’d also have to guard against his constant revenge.
Saul, who was cooperating with Pei’er, might also face deadly backlash.
After all, Clark had already made moves against Saul.
Fake Wind Sprite Nerela had initially been following Clark’s orders, repeatedly testing Saul’s power, and later developed killing intent toward him.
Clark had once wanted to seize Saul’s Nightmare Butterfly, likely through murder and robbery.
He only refrained from acting against Saul after suddenly learning that Saul’s mentor was Gorsa.
After all, the clan leader of the Glare Family that Gorsa belonged to was also a member of the Stargate Council.
Clark, who similarly relied on the Stargate Council, naturally didn’t want to tear relations apart publicly.
“An opportunity…” Saul pondered.
Pei’er was also looking for a suitable reason to lure Clark to their side.
Just then, a palm-sized little bird flew over listlessly from the distance.
It stopped outside the wizard tower and tapped Saul’s window with its orange-red little beak.
“Knock knock knock!”
Saul immediately recognized it as the little bird Ann used to communicate with him.
He hurried over to open the window, took out a small paper from the bird’s plump feathered belly, then used magic to enlarge it and decrypt it.
This small paper immediately became a full page-sized sheet, densely covered with writing.
Saul quickly scanned the entire text, suddenly broke into a smile, and shook the letter in his hand. “Isn’t this exactly the opportunity we need?”
Pei’er immediately stepped forward, pressing close to Saul’s shoulder to read the letter together.
Then, surprise appeared on her face. “They actually already discovered a suspected Storm Eye location… and it’s near Rhine Lake?”
Byron on the side, though he hadn’t seen the letter’s contents, had heard Saul mention the Storm Eye before.
That was something the three third-rank wizards had sent large numbers of people to search for.
Seeing Byron approach, Saul handed him the letter.
After reading it, Byron actually knew the place mentioned in the letter as a possible Storm Eye location.
“Old Days Manor?”
“You know it too, Senior?”
Byron nodded. “I passed by there when I came here, but instinct told me it was very dangerous, so I didn’t approach.”
Saul nodded and turned to tell Pei’er, “The rules of Old Days Manor have changed, making it quite a dangerous place. It’s about a day’s walk from Rhine Lake.”
“If we fly there, it’s at most a few hours. Ha, it really is close to your place.”
Light flowed in Pei’er’s eyes, clearly already considering how to use this news against Clark.
Saul was thinking: So close to my wizard tower, this doesn’t feel good. Could this be protagonist’s aura?
Byron directly asked: “What do you need me to do?”
Saul didn’t want Byron involved in this matter. He was about to speak when Pei’er suddenly grabbed his arm and pulled him toward the wizard tower’s interior.
“We need to discuss this matter properly. Just wait for news.”
After saying this, she left Byron alone on the tower top.
This discussion lasted a day and a night.
The next morning, Pei’er slipped out through the fourth floor window of the wizard tower, transforming into a black shadow that disappeared directly into the horizon.
A few minutes later, at the request of the butler and others, Byron went up to the wizard tower’s fourth floor and knocked on the door.
“Please come in.”
With permission, Byron pushed open the door and saw Saul sitting on the mushroom bed with a somewhat conflicted expression.
He unusually wasn’t wearing his black wizard robes, only a white loose shirt with a turned-down collar and dark gray linen trousers.
He looked like a hesitant noble youth.
Seeing this scene, Byron was silent for a moment, then suddenly asked: “Do you need me to prepare a potion for you?”
Saul was stunned for a moment, then suddenly realized and his face darkened. “No need.”
“Mm.” Byron seemed unsure what to say and prepared to leave, but after closing the door halfway, he opened it again. “The other party is still a third-rank wizard after all, there might be radiation.”
Saul: “…”
He mentally rolled his eyes. I still have a death wizard diary of unknown rank! Oh, and a bunch of stars that are particularly good at acting innocent and blinking! Who knows who’s polluting whom!
Without getting permission, Byron ultimately still silently closed the door.
Just as Byron left, Penny rushed out from the diary and circled around Saul.
“Brother Saul, Brother Saul, after that Wind Sprite suddenly said ‘I know what excuse to use to find you’ yesterday, why did you suddenly shut me in the diary?”
